February Home Sales and Inventory
Douglas County home sales shine in February Home Sales and Inventory reports. Compared with the other Denver Metro counties, our sales were down only 5.19%, inventories up only 4.3%, and under contract homes were up 7.62%. This stands in stark contrast with the numbers from nearby counties like Arapahoe, where inventory increased almost 60% from last February. To be fair, Arapahoe County sales increased 14% in February.
Douglas County Days on Market increased 10% to 52 days, and the average sales price was up 3.8%, but that is more reflective of new home price pressure than resale prices. Douglas County has 2.4 months of inventory which again is much lower than other Denver Metro counties.
