Douglas County leads the Metro area in January
Virtually every category lead belongs to Douglas County as we begin 2019. While inventory grew by a meager 1.41% and Under Contract homes rose almost 4%, sales were up a brisk 12%. The days on the market rose about 13% from January 2018 but the months of inventory dropped about 10% and the net sales price was up about 5.9%. By comparison the Denver Metro market was much slower with inventory up a whopping 36%, Under Contract and sold homes up less than 3% each. Days on the market were up 22% and months of inventory were up 33% whild the average increase for sales price was less than 1%.
This spectacular January for Douglas County is a sharp contrast to the surrounding counties, but still represents only one month of activity. Stay tuned for next month’s summary.
